Active/Passive Bike The Active/Passive Trainer (A.P.T) is a bicycle exerciser designed for use by people with upper extremity, lower extremity, mobility, or neurological disabilities or spinal cord injury. Basic features on both models include: Straight hand grips, foot plates, high leg supports, Velcro tie-down straps, a gear-based resistance mechanism, and hand guards. Both models are height adjustable offer a manual mode and a powered mode. The powered mode provides motorized assistance to limbs that cannot actively propell the pedals. Additional features include five speed adjustments and five resistance levels, an anti-spasm mechanism, auto-reverse, adjustable range of motion, and bi-directional pedals. Model 5805 includes a stand. POWER: This product is manual or motorized. Powered by a quiet, heavy duty electric motor that assures smooth, vibration-free adjustment. The pneumatic hand held control pendant provides safety and control on either side of the table. OPTIONS: Assist gloves, quad grips, angled hand grips, and pediatric foot plates are available for both models. |
